TIME - visible university brief

How do we make time more visible? A question that we got asked to answer in my second year of university. Wile trying to find answers or solutions to this, I found myself discovering so many new techniques and ways of conveying a message through my projects. My first experiences in the field of moving image were based in this project but also a new way of coping with a result or outcome of a brief with an unfinished object.

In the beginnings of this project I looked into a term called involuntary memory and discovered with the help of my brother at least in our eyes a way to make the time that has passed already and all the memories that we share along the way visible. We created s short movie to demosntrate how involunatry works called “Episode de la Madleine”. As I was looking into more and other themes in the further process of developing a final idea to work on with this project I also looked into the field of automobiles and their change of looks during the years, I filmed another video connected to a world famous Andy Warhol film, in which he documents time passing with a static time lapse video. I created a couple of Gif’s with my own quotes and memories and in the end I turnt all this research and progress of making time visible into a calendar prototype in which you would be able to actually see how long or short a day feels depending on your mood.

Idea sketching and collecting textures and patterns of thoughts for the project process.
