365 days counting project
A project that I've been doing for an entire year everyday - The COUNTING project.
As simple as it sounds this project consists of 365 numbers, the exact number of a year (non leap year) and it showcases each number by a photograph of that number. There are no exemptions and no gaps. The challenge for me, set by myself, was to find the number of that day and take a photo of it. By collecting them over months I realised its actual impact and potential.
The final 365 photos ,which present an entire course of a year can be now found in form of a calendar. The simple idea of a rip-off calendar seemed the perfect way of presenting this enormous amount of images and to create an experience for the viewer to "walk" through these numbers day by day.
An idea that literally hit me in one of the worst moments of my creative being so far, when I was so close to leaving everything behind, I found a beer lid. I realised it showed the number of that exact day of the year, so I wanted to draw a connection between these two things and I started counting. The COUNTING project was born.
Almost two years after I started to count, I can still recall every moment I found a number. The impact this project had on me is immense and it gives me a certain perception of time that no other project ever did.
