e&c shopping centre photoseries
Returning to university after almost a year of pandemic and not being able to enter the building and all its facilities, was hard enough already. Realising that one extremly big part of my university experience was doomed to die was harder.
Returning in early fall of 2020 to LCC at Elephant & Castle in London was another great example of gentrification, our capitalist society and a very understanding ual.
The shopping centre on the other side of the roundabout of London College of Communication was supposed to be destroyed within the next few days and there was nothing that could have been done anymore. So i took my camera and came back one last time, looking through fence holes and attention signs to capture this glorius place, where culture and minority had a home.

The elephant of the castle.

One last time, he was guarded by security men and their dogs but he felt lonely between the neon lights and the coldness.
